UNDER the proviijon* of aa Act to '• Provide
for the Management of the Municipal Affair* of tho Town of 8r_ John'i, and for other
purpoaei," and the Acti in amendment thoreof,
the Saint John'i Municipal Council hereby give
notice that they bave made aod adopted the following Byb-L-w* :—
(1.) Every life, Accident, or Guarantee Insurance Company established in the city of Saint
John'i, or having any branch office or agent doing
builneiiaad taking risks in tb* town of Saint
John'*, shall, on and after tb* flnt July, A.D.,
1891, pay an annual tax or license fee of fifty
(t.) Erery Fire and Marine Imuran— Company cstiblished in the city of Saint John's, or
having any branch offlce or igint doing business
and taking risks in the town of Saint John's,
shall, on and after tbe flnt day of July, A.D.
1801, pay an annual tax or license fee of one hun
(8.) Any pedlar, hawker, or vendor of goodi.
•hill, before offering for tale or selling within the
•aid city or municipal limit* any kind or doscri-
tlon of goodi or merchandise, ]iay a special ti
or license fee of twenty-five dollars: Provided
that thla Bye-law ihall not apply to any person re

(I.) Every Broker doing buiineu in the towi
of Saint John's aball, on and after the flnt day of
July, A.D., 1891, pay an annual tax or license fee
of twenty-five dollan.
(5 ) Every proprietor or manager of a biUUrd-
room, exercised or carried on for hire or purposes
